Jacquelyn Herndon
A former art tracher, Jacquelyn Herndon also expressed her passion for creativity through a career in the art business and as a painter and ceramic artist. Residing in South Florida since childhood, she has participated in numerous exhibitions throughout the state.
Living in a coastal environment has been the catalyst for her current Beach Series of paintings featuring the colors of the ocean, sky and dunes. Sand collected from local beaches and sea glass are incorporated into the textured surface of each canvas.
Colorful abstracts by the artist are meant to convey a fascination with the colors, patterns and designs of ethnic textiles, symbolizing the diversity of cultures worldwide.
